Precision brewing, understood.

AI reads your coffee and builds a pour-over recipe for it. Every number is calculated, then checked against physical limits.

Our philosophy

The question is always the same: what does this bean need?

BrewMind builds a profile of the bean (origin, density, process, tasting notes) and estimates how those traits behave during extraction. Every number in the recipe comes from that profile. Nothing is templated. AI reasons about the bean; fixed rules set the limits.

How the engine works

Brewing principles

Brewing is simple when you understand what matters.

Five principles guide every recipe:

  • Respect the beanStructure and flavor determine the approach.
  • Balance extractionClarity, sweetness, body — all from equilibrium.
  • Critique and improveThe engine scores its own work. Rebuilds if it falls short.
  • Explain the whyEvery recipe includes the reasoning behind each variable.
  • Learn from every cupRatings calibrate future recipes. The engine remembers.

Intelligence handles the complexity. Brewing stays simple.

Start with what you have.

Scan the bag. Verify a listing. Or describe what you have. BrewMind builds a complete profile from any signal.

  • Scan the bag for origin, process, roast, and tasting notes
  • Match your bean against a verified listing
  • Direct description when no listing exists

No listing? BrewMind still builds a recipe from what you know.

A real recipe.

Follow the recipe

Kettle mode walks you through each pour: the active step, how much water has gone in, what your scale should read and when the next pour starts. It works with V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex, Origami, flat-bottom drippers and xBloom. Scale readings are estimates, so trust your scale.

Brew evolution

After brewing, tell BrewMind how it tasted: sour, just right or bitter. It calculates a small change to grind, temperature or ratio and shows it before you brew again. It keeps your ratings for this bean.

Community recipes

A public library of BrewMind recipes. Search by origin, filter by roast and process, and see how similar beans are brewed with different grinders and water. Public profiles show recent brews.

Open it in your xBloom

Open any recipe in the xBloom app or XBRW++ without setting each value by hand. XBRW++ also receives the bean details from your bag: origin, process and roast date.

A BrewMind recipe becomes:

  1. generated from the characteristics of the bean
  2. saved as an xBloom recipe profile
  3. opened directly in the xBloom app or XBRW++
  4. brewed without manually configuring parameters

The bean informs the recipe. The recipe runs the machine.
